The flanges from both damaged CANs were safely removed by machining.
The CANs designated for modification were machined. Welding was performed at the AFT side using ER70S-6 filler wire.
The removed flanges were sub-sequently machined to reuse as spacer flanges.
DPT of welding joints was performed and successfully done the trial assembly.
